Ting’s Beauty Team at “The Hybrid Workshop” in Palm Springs

You probably noticed a certain photographer’s name frequenting our pages. Jeremy Chou. As talented as he is experienced, his work never fails to impress us. So, given the opportunity to participate in his master workshop, “The Hybrid Workshop” held at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, we eagerly jumped to it! Jeremy teamed up with his friend, Kirk Mastin of Mastin Studio as instructors for a 3-day workshop sharing their knowledge and skills with wedding photographers from all over the country! Vendors, creative artists, and photographers gathered together for this special treat.

Meet and Greet:

Our team had a wonderful stay at the Ace Hotel given that the workshop was over the duration of 3 days. We had so much fun meeting new faces in the wedding and photography industry, working alongside other professionals, and learning new skills from one another! The environment was so welcoming making it a great learning experience for the students and vendors involved.

“Ting’s team is at your service…”

Ting Makeup and Hair was honored to be a part of such a momentous workshop. Our hair and makeup team was chosen to help with styling these amazing style shoots on location.

There were three couples on set for the workshop’s shoots. One workshop focusing on a fashion shoot concept involved 2 professional models. Two other real-life couples were also on hand to help photographers learn how to give instructions and provide practice in snapping photos for real couples during their eventful shoots. Be it engagements, special occasions, or weddings.

Ting’s beauty team was solely responsible for perfecting the professional models’ makeup, teaming up with Billion Dollar Hair, who did a fantastic job styling their hair! We stayed for a few more days, doing the makeup and hair for the 2 real-life couples. This was truly a rewarding experience and we had so much fun being a part of it!

Given that this was our first time not holding a workshop of our own, but participating in one, it was surely a one-of-a-kind experience. We can’t wait to see what Jeremy has in store for his next photography workshop set for May 1st, 2015.

The sky is the limit with contemporary artistry, and creativity is what brings us all together. We especially want to thank Yellow Bird Weddings & Event Production for planning such an amazing design for the workshop, Peony & Plum for the tasteful floral arrangements, FOUND Rental for the vintage furniture finds, Billion Dollar Hair for their beautiful hair designs, and Erica Marr Films for capturing every moment magically on film. Last, but far from least, we here at Ting Makeup and Hair wanted to give a big thank you, once again, to the instructors: Jeremy Chou and Kirk Mastin. Thank you for orchestrating such a successful workshop, housing all us creative types – under one roof, at one venue – for this lovely experience!
