The late actress and humanitarian, Audrey Hepburn, inspired this look we created for our vintage-vibes Valentine. Audrey is a style icon whose style is truly everlasting and timeless. Though style trends have taken a turn since her time, her signature ladylike and demure looks continue to influence trends even today. Today, we can thank our “retro style queen of the 21st century”, Taylor Swift for this.

The Birthday Style File
Once every year, every girl has to meet that big dilemma. What to wear for my birthday celebration this year? We think of what we have. Dream of what we wish we had. And then we start spending weeks in advance planning that perfect outfit.
Well, our founder, Ting, gives some insight into her ideal birthday frock this year. With a penchant for fancy dresses, you can find her constantly browsing online for new dresses suitable for her upcoming parties and events. However, we all can feel that pain of that pretty penny spent too often for one-of-a-kind pieces.
Engagement Session: Alex and Cat
The Back story:
Our groom for this engagement session is one of my childhood friends, Alex. When we first interviewed Cat, our bride-to-be, on how the couple first met, she simply replied, “We met through friends, and that was it. It’s not that interesting.” Her simple and quite humbling response was definitely not a reflection of their admiral love for one another. Being around the couple throughout this shoot definitely magnified their love for each other to those around them. It is apparent in the photos that they are such a fun couple, full of laughter, and adoration for one another! Aside from styling the outfits, makeup, and hair for this shoot, we will be joining them in Taiwan as their artists for their nuptials on May 2015!

This look was inspired by our “Princess in Every Girl” post with the same Space 46 Boutique white, tulle skirt. However, we kept things more casual to match our bride’s casual and sporty personal style. To do so, we paired the skirt with a denim chambray button-down top to keep the look “down-to-earth”.
Sticking to the casual, sporty vibe, the bride added a pair of white Converse sneakers to bring the look together. After all, she is a bride so a dash of white was absolutely necessary!
His
The groom complemented his bride’s look by matching her with a similar denim shirt by Ben Sherman. We intentionally chose different shades of blue for the bride and groom to give them both a varying dynamic in the photos. He completed his look with a pair of Diesel jeans and Jack Purcell Converse sneakers.

With such a crowd, there should be no doubt in your mind about finding that perfect number to ring in the new year.
We know that we love anything sparkly and new, but what about this orange Adelyn Rae dress from their Spring 2015 collection?
Sequins may be too loud at times, but the bold orange color of this dress makes just as many heads turn without looking like a disco ball.
The Princess In Every Girl
Organza. Satin. Chiffon. Different materials can change the feel of a wedding gown; in its entirety. You can feel regal with a full, billowing organza skirt or carefree with a simple, flowing satin train. But to feel like a true princess, there is no better material than tulle. Tulle is a light and airy material that exudes fantasy and whimsy, fitting for a fanciful engagement photoshoot. A perfect example of a fantastical tulle dress is modeled by one of Ting Makeup and Hair’s favorite fashion icons, Olivia Palermo. She paired a simple white top with a full-length, lace embroidered tulle skirt designed by Carolina Herrera.
